Mr. Ofer Barshem

Ofer has over 2 decades of medical device sales, marketing & executive leadership experience, starting with 8 years with J&J orthopedics & cardiovascular. For the last 15 years Ofer led growth of MedTech startups business departments, one of which exited at $220M, & headed others as CEO. Ofer is a retired Lieutenant Commander of the Israeli navy.

Dr Nir Shani

PhD, CSO

Director of biology at MeaTech 3D. Dr. Shani served as the Head of Microsurgery and Plastic Surgery laboratory at Tel Aviv Sourasky Medical Center. Dr. Shani is the co-inventor in a novel clinical technology for the isolation of ASCs and in a breakthrough technology for cryopreservation of whole limbs and large tissues. Dr. Shani is a Weizmann Institute graduate. During his post-doctorate studies in Prof. Oded Shoseyov’s lab at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Dr. Shani developed novel technology for asthma treatment and co-founded a company based on that technology.

Dr Ziv Karni

Founder and ex-CEO of Alma Lasers. Dr. Karni is considered as one of the “Founding Fathers” of the Medical Aesthetics Industry and famous for his ability to constantly, rapidly and creatively develop new innovative devices. Dr. Karni holds a Ph.D in Chemical physics from Tel Aviv University and a Post doctorate in physics and Chemistry from Columbia University and Stanford University respectively.

Laurent is a Doctor in Veterinary Medicine and MBA from INSEAD. He leads Cukierman & Co. Life Sciences since 2008 and has 15 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry and 15 years in investment banking.
